Editorial policy

This page explains how the different kinds of content on StreamersNews are made, so you know what you are reading.
Our own reporting and data
- Numbers come from the official Twitch API or from snapshots we take ourselves. We name the source.
- We do not invent quotes, statistics, rankings or events.
- Claims about people are limited to public information, such as what they streamed and how many people watched.
- Release dates and other news we cannot confirm are described as reported, with a note that they can change.
Automated content
Our daily streamer news, the Twitch snapshot stories and the streamer statistics are generated by software from our viewer data. They are published under our bot account or marked as based on our snapshots, and they are not presented as written by a person. Where an article is written or edited by a person, it says so.
Community posts
Stories and comments are written by members and reflect their views, not ours. We remove spam, harassment, hate, leaked private information and anything illegal. Anyone can report a post with the report link beneath it.
Images and clips
- Game and category pictures are the official artwork Twitch provides for each category.
- Stream preview pictures come from Twitch and belong to the streamers.
- Artwork we draw ourselves is original. We do not copy publishers' artwork or characters without permission.
- Clips belong to the streamers who made them. A streamer can ask us to remove one at any time.
Sponsors and advertising
Advertising and sponsorship never change our rankings or our daily summaries. Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored. Ranking position cannot be bought.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we correct it and, for a material mistake, note the correction on the page. Send corrections, takedown requests and complaints to hello@streamersnews.com.
